Training courses

Customers wishing to take a Guralp Systems training course can expect comprehensive coverge of the relevant theory and practice of broadband seismometry, with particular emphasis on the use and maintenance of Guralp Systems’ instrumentation.

We aim to ensure that your networks function optimally and provides more accurate, quality data. We understand that the installation of seismometers and networks are important investments, so we ensure customers feel confident that training is given by well-trained and knowledgeable professionals.

Courses for groups of up to 10 people can be conducted on our premises, and generally last 1 – 14 days. Accommodation is available nearby.

Training at Calleva Park.

Typical introductory courses include:

Introduction to broadband seismometers;
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting; and
Using Scream!, digitizers and data modules.

More specialized training can also be provided in particular areas to suit your requirements. Possible topics include:

Low-noise installation techniques;
Borehole and ocean bottom systems; and
Advanced networking with EAMs.
